Student answer (Band 4.5)

nowadays in many countries, people do not dum thier garbage but some countries have strick rule about this

The main reasons is that people do not aware about diseases which is spread from garbage.government should run a campaign to educate about proper waste and dump in rubbish bin.For example if gornment run campaign people aware and they can change thier habbits

In my opinion people doing this because they are lassy and another reason is that street food stalls. For example when people eating food from street food stalls. They throw wastes any where

gorvenment must take strick laws about this becasue this is a major issue in cities. if gorvenment need fine to street food stalls who do not have garbage bin and also them who do not dump garbage at right palace

in conclusion.Government run compaign to educate about proper waste and dump.secondly government must launch strick laws about this. in my opinion people will definitely chnage

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 159 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, which remain superficial and repetitive. While the essay addresses both parts of the prompt—reasons for low recycling and potential solutions—the lack of depth and the failure to meet the length constraint mean the task is only partially addressed. The ideas, such as 'people are lazy' or 'street food stalls,' are mentioned but not sufficiently supported with detailed examples or logical expansion, leading to a fragmented response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas effectively. For instance, the transition between the reasons for the problem and the proposed solutions is abrupt. The use of 'secondly' in the conclusion is inappropriate as it introduces a new point rather than summarizing the argument. The overall structure feels mechanical, and the lack of logical flow makes the argument difficult to follow in places.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. Basic errors in word choice and spelling are frequent, such as 'strick' instead of 'strict', 'lassy' instead of 'lazy', and 'palace' instead of 'place'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the reliance on simple, often misused words hinders the clarity of the message. To improve, you need to focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to the environment and waste management, as well as improving your spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('government should run a campaign'), incorrect verb forms ('people do not aware'), and sentence fragments. The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty or contain punctuation errors. The high frequency of errors, particularly in basic subject-verb agreement and word formation, causes some difficulty for the reader and indicates a lack of control over basic grammatical structures.
