Student answer (Band 6.0)
Undoubtedly, in this modernized era proper recycle of waste is necessary to save and preserve environment. In many nations of the world, individuals cannot recycle their rubbish as much as they want due to the lack of technology and the ineffective recycle system which I would be elaborated in my forthcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, the first and foremost reason behind the improper recycle of the waste is the lack of proper technology. This is how, in this current era, many developing countries not possess the latest and innovative machinery for the waste disposal. For example, as compared to the developed nations like UK, Canada and USA, India possess the less technological upgradation in waste removal. As a result, it can be solved by having import of the machinery from the other countries with best recycle machinery.
Furthermore, the another dominant reason behind the low recycle of the garbage is not having or not following proper waste system. This is why, in this competitive era the main reason for that is the lack of education as well as the proper system for the waste disposal. For an instances, the developing country like India, does not possess the proper education for the waste disposal and also the appropriate system to dispose off. Thus, it can be resolved by the legal authority as they impose not only strict but also proper rule and system for garbage recycle and government should also teach this during the initial stages like schools and colleges.
In conclusion, ineffective disposal of the waste because of the lack of modern technology and low level of education which can be solved by importing new machines from other nation and providing proper education to the citizens it would be easy and convenient to recycle the garbage.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding 'lack of technology' is mentioned in the first body paragraph and then revisited in the conclusion, but the explanation remains superficial. The examples provided, such as comparing India to the UK, are relevant but could be more effectively integrated to support the argument. To improve, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-developed point rather than restating the same concepts in different ways.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion', though some transitions feel mechanical or slightly forced. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing. For example, the sentence 'This is how, in this current era...' does not connect smoothly to the preceding point. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences flow naturally into one another would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'recycle', 'waste', and 'proper'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'waste disposal' and 'technological upgradation', there are instances of awkward word choice or collocation, such as 'proper recycle of waste' (should be 'proper recycling') and 'possess the less technological upgradation'. Expanding the range of synonyms and focusing on correct collocations would significantly improve the lexical quality of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('India possess'), article usage ('the improper recycle'), and awkward phrasing ('which I would be elaborated in my forthcoming paragraphs'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical consistency, particularly with verb forms and the correct use of articles.
