Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowdays, dealing with waste has been a major concern of many nations. While, Authorities try to motivate there citizens to recycle the waste but the ratio of recycleing waste is not as much as people can do. This eassy will explain the reasons and solutions to slove this issue before sharing my view.

One of the main reason of this trend is lack of knowledge of recycleing. Majority of Individuals are not awared about how to segregate waste according to waste category and how to recycle them. Therefore, people put their all garbage in same bags, which lead to less waste recycle and more no-recycleable waste. In addition, not implement strict rules for those individuals who not do their garbage properly. Consequently, This thing made people lezy and ignore the waste recycle process.

To solve this problem, autorities need to take some strict actions such as strict penishments for those who not follow the recycle process. Moreover, create advertisment and awareness camps to promot correct way to recycle waste. In addition, government aslso install the recycle mechines at public places where people get money in the exchange of recycleing their waste.

In my opinion, dealing the problem of waste is not that much easy but with proper planning and apropreate implementation we can solve this issue and many developed contries already did it.

In conclusion, while avoid the recycleing process and lack of knowleadge are main reasoons behind this trend, but with the assistance of autorites and strict actions we can slove this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the suggestion to 'install recycle machines' is a good point, but it lacks elaboration on how this would practically increase participation. The position is clear, but the arguments are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being fully extended. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or explain the causal links between your proposed solutions and the desired outcome in greater detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Therefore', and 'Consequently' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as starting a sentence with 'While, Authorities...' which creates a fragment. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used with correct punctuation will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors, such as 'Nowdays', 'eassy', 'slove', 'lezy', 'autorities', and 'aslso', which occur frequently. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'do their garbage' instead of 'dispose of their waste'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the frequent spelling mistakes and limited range of vocabulary prevent a higher score. Focusing on learning word families and correct spelling of common academic terms will be highly beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'dealing with waste has been a major concern' (tense usage), 'not implement strict rules' (missing auxiliary verb), and 'This thing made people lezy' (informal phrasing and grammar). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage after introductory phrases. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs.
