Student answer (Band 6.0)

IN this contemporary worlds, people hardly agree to recycle their trash as they can. I firmly believe that they have faced problems particularly limited resources and high cost of recycling.

There are several reasons people fail to recycle their rubbish. First and the foremost reason is cost of recycle to any individual is very high. People prefer to through their garbage in dustbin rather that recycle. For instance, cost of recycle of clothes are very High in Pakistan people use their damage or tier shirt for dusting or other house hold chords. Additionally, individual have limited resource to recycle the product and reuse them so that they utilize their resources better. For Illustration, in less develop countries have verities waste bins like develop countries such as green, red and yellow bins installed by the governments.

There are lot of areas which need to improve especially waste management company need to improve and trained in proper way. For example, in Pakistan WASA has been Improve a lot. Such as they collect waste material from houses and supply to the recycle units which is ease for every individual. Moreover, some incentives should be given to citizens to promote the recycle culture like government of china promote plastic recycle by giving reward in return of plastic bottles. this is the smart way to create the awareness in public. Furthermore, joint recycle units should be installed near the economies boundaries so that reprocessing cost could be manage by the less develop countries who are unable to install their own unit.

In conclusion, recycling is the expensive process but authorities should take important steps to stimulate the citizens. I strongly agree people have limited resources to recycle material like fabric ,glass, iron and platinum. But by installing bins near density areas will surely help in reprocessing.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the points about cost and infrastructure are relevant, the explanation is occasionally repetitive or lacks depth, such as the mention of 'platinum' in the conclusion, which is not a standard household recyclable. The examples provided, such as the reference to Pakistan's waste management, are helpful but could be more tightly integrated to support the argument more effectively. Overall, the response meets the requirements of the task but would benefit from more precise elaboration on the proposed solutions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and the foremost', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or forced. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the internal structure of some sentences is slightly disjointed, which occasionally disrupts the flow. Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall readability of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but shows limited range. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'through their garbage' (instead of 'throw'), 'house hold chords' (instead of 'chores'), and 'less develop countries' (instead of 'less developed'). While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'reprocessing' and 'incentives', the overall control is inconsistent. The repetition of basic terms and the misuse of word forms suggest that the student needs to focus on collocation and more precise terminology to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('cost of recycle of clothes are'), article usage ('in less develop countries'), and punctuation errors. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing. The student demonstrates an attempt at complex structures, but these are often marred by errors in tense or word order, which prevents the response from achieving a higher score in this criterion.
