Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, accumulation of garbage in landfills is one of the major problems encountered by many countries. Individuals often produce far more waste than they recycle. There are several reasons for this problem, and appropriate measures should be taken to address it. Both perspectives will be discussed in details in the following paragraphs.
Discussing the factors that cause this problem, the foremost one I shall put forward is that unawareness of recycle procedure of the waste. For instance, many people are unfamiliar with separating recyclable materials from general waste. Furthermore, a person is keen to buy new products unnecessarily just because they are treanding. By this I mean that people replace old products with new ones, contributing to the growing amount of waste. moreover, People tend to throw away things that could easily be repaired at home.
There are several meassures which can help to resolve the issues. Firstly, promoting awarness about reuse waste at home through television broadcasting and social media. This helps people to know about importance of recycle waste and their procedures, As well as explain individuals about detrimental effects
caused by excessive house hold waste. Additionally, goverment should implement a strict rules on wastes materials produce by factories and on household garbage. A penelty should be imposed when the amount of discarded waste exceeds the permitted limit.
In conclusion, many people are unaware about the harmful impacts caused by incresing plastic and factories wastes. However it can be reduce by implementing strict rules and awareness. To cope with this situation both public and goverment need to work as unity to make world better place to live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of knowledge regarding recycling procedures and the culture of consumerism. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the point about 'treanding' products is mentioned but not fully explained in terms of its impact on waste management. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate on the consequences of the issues mentioned. The position is clear throughout, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by grammatical errors, such as the sentence starting with 'As well as explain individuals'. The referencing is generally clear, but the connection between ideas could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used with greater precision would enhance the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'landfills', 'recyclable materials', and 'detrimental effects'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'treanding', 'meassures', 'awarness', 'penelty', and 'incresing'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on proofreading for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations or less common vocabulary to demonstrate a wider range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'unawareness of recycle procedure' (should be 'recycling procedures'), 'goverment should implement a strict rules' (article error), and 'it can be reduce' (passive voice error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your accuracy.
