Student answer (Band 6.0)

In many nations, folks are not putting efforts to recycle their waste material as the amount they could. In this essay i will talk about the why is it like that and what are thing that can help to promote them to do that.

To begin with, the major problem about increasing waste day by day is very comman in almost every country. Firstly, I believe that the major reason behind is folks are so lazy that they prefer to use the same bin to collect all type of garbage instead of sorting waste material according to what type of garbage is it. Moreover, In the matter of recycling goverment plate a vital role. The lack of resource available provide to the people lead a problem. Public places like stations and gardens bins are never changed Folk through everytype of garbage in one bin where ever they find a space.

I believe that there are number of thing that can change this problem, implement heavy fines on people who are not sorting waste is one of the easiest way to tackle this problem. Moreover, Any kind of waste like plastic, cardboard should be returnable for reward. Govarment should open recycle stores where people ca come and return the empty bottle in exchange of some rewards. For instance, A survay conducted by canadian collage SAIT results showes that the recycle percentage in alberta is 27% as comapre to the other proviences. Just because there are multiple depots that collect plastic waste.

In coclusion, I would say recycling waste is primary duties for every person but implementing some rules and providing some extra resource by goverment make it easy to solve this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of infrastructure and the suggestion of financial incentives. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The explanation of 'laziness' is a bit simplistic, and the connection between government roles and the lack of resources could be more clearly articulated. While the example of the SAIT survey is a good attempt at supporting the argument, the overall depth of analysis is limited. The position is clear throughout, but the essay would benefit from more sophisticated reasoning to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'the major reason behind is folks are so lazy'. The transition between the problem of laziness and the government's role is abrupt. While the paragraphing is sufficient, the use of cohesive devices is not always flexible or natural, which limits the score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'comman', 'goverment', 'coclusion', 'proviences') and some awkward collocations, such as 'putting efforts to recycle' instead of 'making an effort to recycle'. The student relies on fairly basic vocabulary throughout. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and the recurring spelling mistakes prevent a higher score. To improve, the student should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and proofreading for common spelling errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'the amount they could' (should be 'as much as they could'), 'what are thing that can help' (should be 'what things can help'), and 'Folk through everytype' (should be 'People throw every type'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While the student attempts complex structures, they are often marred by errors. The punctuation is generally functional, but the overall control of grammar is inconsistent, placing it firmly in the 5.5 to 6.0 range.
