Writing Task-2
Recycle is a process of converting used items into new ones, such as paper, plastic etcetera. It has been observed in many countries that people do not recycle their waste. This essay will discuss the reasons for not recycling the rubbish along with appropriate solutions in further paragraphs.
The first and foremost reason for not recycling the waste by residents of some nations is lack of awareness. People do not know what recycling is. And what products can be recycled in order to save the environment? Taking an example into consideration, in countries like India, people of some rural areas are unaware about recycling because of illiteracy. Therefore, burning waste has become their habit instead of recycling. However, some steps can be taken to aware the society to recycle their waste as much as they can. It will not work instantly, but some improvement can be seen in future.
Another reason is lack of facilities to recycle the rubbish. In some places it has also been noticed in some places that there is no recycling units. Thereby, people dump their garbage in open fields. One solution to this problem is to facilitate people with recycling units and teach them how and what to recycle. for example, in western countries, residents take out their garbage from their homes everyweek, which is further collected by garbage collector. This practice of collecting garbage has reduced the amount of waste at homes. Moreover, if some do not contribute in this activity, then they have to pay a fine.
In conclusion, problems are part of a life, but taking appropriate steps can be helpful to curb the amount of waste from homes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of awareness and the absence of infrastructure. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The explanation regarding rural areas in India is a good start, but the solutions section could be more detailed. For instance, the suggestion of fines is a strong point, but it is introduced very briefly at the end. To reach a higher band, ensure that each reason is balanced with a specific, well-explained solution, and avoid overly simplistic statements like 'problems are part of a life' in the conclusion, which does not add value to the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The first and foremost reason', 'Another reason', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Thereby, people dump their garbage'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear; for example, the phrase 'if some do not contribute in this activity' is a bit vague. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one without abrupt shifts.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary like 'recycling units' and 'curb the amount of waste'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'aware the society' (should be 'raise awareness in society') and 'facilitate people with' (should be 'provide people with'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more fluently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the quality of the writing. Examples include 'Recycle is a process' (should be 'Recycling is'), 'unaware about' (should be 'unaware of'), and 'everyweek' (should be 'every week'). There are also issues with article usage and verb forms. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Increasing the accuracy of basic grammar and punctuation will help elevate the overall quality.
