Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has become common for large number of people to not recycle their garbage as much they should do. In this easy I intend to delve into plausible causes and suggest some viable solutions to alleviate this issue.
There are several factors behind this problem. The primary reason is lack of awareness among the people. people are not aware how much damage plastic is doing to the environment, They do not have enough information how non-biodegradable products damaging the landfills. The another reason is that people do not want to separate their rubbish as it bit inconvenient for people to keep recycle aside from other garbage.
However, the collaborative efforts of government and individuals can help to rectify this problem. Firstly, government should arrange seminars to educate people about the benefits of recycling and its good impacts on the environment. It should be stared in the school where children can learn about recycling and tell their parents and society about it. Secondly, recycling stations can be installed in the local Ares where people can recycle and also can get some reward for recycling. it will encourage people to start recycling. For example in Alberta, Canada there is $10 cents and $25 cents are paid when people recycle as per the size of the bottles and cans.
To conclude, there are empty of reasons, behind this burgeoning issue including lack of awareness among the people and inconvenience of sorting garbage, however by educating people for recycling and start rewards program for recycling can aid this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed both parts of the prompt by identifying reasons for low recycling rates (lack of awareness and inconvenience) and proposing solutions (education and financial incentives). The ideas are relevant and clearly presented. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why people find recycling 'inconvenient' is brief, and the discussion on government seminars could be expanded with more depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully supported with detailed explanations or extended examples. Your position is clear throughout the essay, and the structure is appropriate for the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude' to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the lack of awareness and the inconvenience of recycling. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'The another reason', which is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'non-biodegradable', 'burgeoning', and 'alleviate'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'easy' instead of 'essay', 'stared' instead of 'started', and 'empty of reasons' instead of 'a plethora of reasons'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and proofreading for common word-choice errors. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated, topic-specific vocabulary would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('in local Ares', 'in the school'), subject-verb agreement issues ('people are not aware how much damage plastic is doing'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are also slightly awkward, such as 'It should be stared in the school where children can learn about recycling and tell their parents and society about it.' While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of your writing.
