Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent decades, numerous countries , people do not recycle as much house hold waste as they could. This is mainly occurs due to lack of awareness and inadequate recycling facilities. However, Government and communities can take several measurements to encourage people to recycle more. I will elaborate my reasons with relevant examples in the upcoming paragraphs.
At the outset, one primary reason of low recycling rate is that many people are not sufficient aware of the environment consequences of waste. for instance, recent studies have shown that in developing countries like India 35% people throw their waste to the land because they do not have any knowledge regarding pollution. Another crucial reason is that recycle can be inconvenient when separate recycling bins are not easily available. As a result, people may simply put their rubbish into one rubbish because it is quicker and easier.
There are several ways to address this problems. Firstly, thee Government should provide better recycling facilities in residential areas and make the collection of recycling waste convenient and regular. moreover, schools and media should be educate people about important of recycling and long term effects of excessive waste. A clear illustrate of this is that education campaign could explain how recycle reduce pollution and saves natural resources. In addition, the Government could introduce financial incentives, such as discount and reward that recycling regularly, while imposing fines in those who repeatedly fail to follow rules.
To sum up, it can be said that, people often less recycle because they lack awareness and do not have convenient recycling facilities systems. By improving collecting system, educating the public and introducing incentives and penalties , Government can significantly increase recycling rates.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of awareness and the inconvenience of current systems. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of '35% people' in India lacks context and feels like a generic statistic. While the position is clear throughout, the response would benefit from more detailed explanations or more nuanced examples to reach a higher band. The structure is logical, and all parts of the prompt are covered, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. The use of cohesive devices such as 'At the outset', 'Another crucial reason', 'Firstly', and 'To sum up' helps guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'A clear illustrate of this is that'. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and sentence flow, such as the opening sentence which contains a grammatical error that disrupts the flow. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, justifying a Band 6.5.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'financial incentives', 'natural resources', and 'pollution'. However, there are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'not sufficient aware' (should be 'sufficiently aware'), 'recycle can be inconvenient' (should be 'recycling'), and 'educate people about important of' (should be 'importance of'). These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the range and precision of the language used, placing this in the Band 6.0 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('This is mainly occurs'), article usage ('the Government'), and word form errors ('educate people about important of'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the student attempts complex structures, the frequency of errors is noticeable and prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. The errors rarely impede communication, which is consistent with the Band 6.0 descriptor.
