In many countries, people do not recycle their rubbish as much as they could.

Why do you think this is?

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, many people do not recycle because the process feels inconvenient or discouraging. But it depends on the country where you live. Some other countries, they had laws that you really need to follow like separate and recycle. In addition, one thing that very interesting, the government pay you when you collect bottles, plastic containers and some other materials that can still reuse. This kind of policy has a lot of benefits to our environment and community. First, we can maintain the cleanliness of our sorrounding. However, some people believe individual actions do not matter or what recycling is a scam because large amount collected waste still end up in landfills or get burned. Other reason, keeping multiple bins for trash, paper, plastic and glass requires extra room inside small homes or apartments. Sorting materials, washing out dirty food containers, and flattening boxes take extra time and effort. Also, lack of nearby drop-off locations stops people participating.

In short, many countries facing problems regarding this sorting their own garbages. In fact this all about discipline not just for yourself but for the future of your children. Having clean environment is one of the most important that we need to maintain. That is why as a people who live in this world, all we need to do is to take care our mother earth. Maintained the green, let us collect and separate our waste to the proper bins, throw to the proper place. Do not ever doubt how well system works if you put some effort for this.
