Student answer (Band 6.0)
Recycling of any kind of garbage has become popular these days. It has been seen that the individuals put less efforts than possible to recycle the waste in most of the regions. There are many reasons behind this trend such as, lack of time and resources available. But, this can be solved by taking effective measures by government and municipality.
One of the major reason of this situation is that nowadays people have very busy schedules which does not allow them to do anything extra than their regular routine. In other words, they have responsibilities of family and work that make their life more hectic. So, indidviduals cannot get enough time to recycle the trash properly. Another reason is that the process of recycling needs some specific resources which not everyone can afford or have. This situation reduce the chances of rubbish to be recycled. To illustrate, many people in urban areas just seperate the different garbage bins which later collected by garbage trucks.
To solve this problem, there are many actions that could be taken by higher authorities. The government can make rules for public to recylce the trash properly. They can also impose fine for those who disobey this rule. Therefore, poeple will become more responsible towards the situation and help to reduce environmental impact. In addition, municipality can help locals to separete the garbage and provide clear guidelines of recylcing. Eventually, individuals will be accountable for this thing.
In conclusion, the shortage of time and assests prevent mortals to recyle the garbage adequately. However, both ministry and community can come together with some rules and guidelines to help reduce this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as time constraints and the need for government intervention. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of why people lack resources is vague, and the example regarding urban garbage collection is not fully linked to the argument. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate on the consequences of the proposed solutions. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis remains at a Band 6 level as some points are under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'In other words', 'To illustrate', and 'In addition' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. For instance, the use of 'Eventually' at the end of the third paragraph is slightly unnatural in this context. Additionally, referencing could be improved; in the second paragraph, the phrase 'This situation' is a bit vague in its reference. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'hectic', 'accountable', and 'environmental impact'. However, there are several spelling errors ('indidviduals', 'seperate', 'recylce', 'assests') and some word choice inaccuracies, such as using 'mortals' to refer to people, which is stylistically inappropriate for an academic or formal essay. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, the frequency of spelling mistakes and the occasional misuse of register prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading and learning more precise collocations will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('individuals put less efforts', 'one of the major reason') and incorrect verb forms ('which later collected' instead of 'which are later collected'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure occasionally feels clunky. The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher band. To improve, focus on ensuring that your complex sentences are grammatically sound and pay closer attention to pluralization and verb tense consistency.
