Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 193 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you identify reasons (lack of knowledge, lack of infrastructure) and solutions (government investment, color-coded bins), the explanations are underdeveloped and lack specific examples or depth. The response is too brief to fully address the prompt, leading to a fragmented argument. To improve, you must expand on your points with detailed explanations and concrete examples to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive analysis.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'To commence with' and 'In conclude'. The logical flow between sentences is often interrupted by grammatical errors, making the progression of ideas feel disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the problem and the solution is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details that flow naturally from one to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors such as 'scdule', 'insted', 'focuse', 'numoures', 'rular', 'saprate', 'munciple', and 'recyckling'. These errors, combined with awkward phrasing like 'earn lumpsum money' and 'they will be know about the recycle', hinder the clarity of your message. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to use more sophisticated terms accurately. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and practice using collocations in context to express your ideas more precisely and professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('everyone have', 'they will be know'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain structural errors, such as 'In many nations, insted of focuse on environment condition, they do not recycle'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and punctuation is often misused or missing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of prepositions and articles before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
