It is an undeniable fact, that environment does get affected by the rubbish and waste process. In many parts of the world, population does not recycle their rubbish in an appropriate manner which becomes a threat to our environment and leads in Global Warming. Their are numerous reasons behind; as lack of awareness and less alternates leads to this problem. Apparently, it can be mitigate if Government contributes in building different dispose bins which can assist in collecting useful recycle waste and then converting them into an object which can be useful.

Firstly, families are entitled to work throughout the whole day, leaving no time to think about waste procedure Therefore, they mix all the garbage and dispose in the same bin. This is caused by the lack of awareness, as many individuals does not know how plastic can destroy the beauty of a country. To exemplify, a case study was published last year stating, more than 70% of the home owners do not know the exact procedure of dumping cooked oil, they are throwing it in the sinks which clogs the sewage system. Additionally, another reasons for this cause, is lack of resources people do not get another alternates for consumption and they end up buying products in plastic containers such as water bottle or food items.

However, government can play a crucial role in solving this problem. They can introduce an action plan, which will not only benefit the country but will also help the citizens to earn money. A new disposal procedure, which will pay for your garbage and whatever you dispose, that can be eventually used in future you should be paid for it. Moreover, videos and seminar should run on Television and other platforms, spreading the drawbacks of rubbish and how can a small contribution will help the nation to breathe fresh air and will protect the environment.

To conclude, people are not aware about the correct way of waste procedure and end up doing it in a wrong manner. Nevertheless, government can intoducce policies which will educate people in how to re use these products and making something useful out of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of time and awareness, and the suggestion for government-led financial incentives. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the point about cooking oil is a good specific example, other points, such as the 'action plan' for financial rewards, are a bit vague and could be expanded with more concrete detail. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis could be improved to reach higher bands by exploring the 'why' behind the lack of awareness more thoroughly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Additionally', and 'However', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or misused, such as 'Their are numerous reasons behind; as lack of awareness'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, and the flow between sentences occasionally feels disjointed due to grammatical errors. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the problem from the solution, which aids overall readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'rubbish and waste process', 'less alternates', and 'dispose bins'. While the meaning is generally clear, the student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles with accurate word forms (e.g., 'mitigate' used instead of 'mitigated'). To improve, the student should focus on learning more precise collocations related to environmental issues and waste management.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many individuals does not know'), article usage, and incorrect verb forms ('it can be mitigate'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and run-on sentences. While the student attempts complex structures, these are often where the most errors occur. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would significantly improve the score.
