Student answer (Band 5.5)
it is true that most of the people do not like recycing in these time due to hectic lifestyle. Although this happens due to various reasons, i believe that govwrnmwnt should make rigerous actions to solve it.
On the one hand, there are various reasons why individuals do not recycle their trash. First and the foremost, most of the peeople unaware about recycle and environment issues that is why they do not recycle garbage. To explain, most of the masses usage plastic bags and cans after using it they throw it surrounded their which put adverse impact on the environment and it would not only harm the flora but also fauna. In addition to it, lack of space also responsible for this reason. Because some places have less bins so they throw things only one bins which put adversde influence on environment because it gives birth to fatal disease such as maleria and fever.
On the other hand, i believe that government should take better steps to improve it. Firstly, government need to impose seminars so they can aware to the people about the benefits of the environment because if people have knowledge, they do not waste any things and always try to recycle the things. Moreover, high authorities need to provide number of bins to the society so people use it as wisely. Along with this, regimes shold establish the recycle industries which helps them to recycle the garbage in turn of which it not only generate employment opportunities between people but also improve the environment.
To conclude, while lack of knowledge and less dustbins in society are main roots of this problem, i opine that government should take productive steps to tackle with this issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, explaining reasons why people do not recycle as much as they could and offering solutions to change this. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. The ideas presented, such as lack of knowledge and the need for government intervention, are relevant, though they are somewhat under-developed and lack specificity. For instance, the discussion on environmental impact mentions the harm to flora and fauna, but the explanation remains basic. Similarly, solutions like imposing seminars and establishing recycling industries are introduced but lack detailed elaboration. According to the Band 6 descriptors, the task is addressed, but ideas could be more fully extended.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, dividing the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion appropriately. Transitional markers such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader through the text. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in awkward referencing ('throw it surrounded their which put adverse impact') and repetitive transitional phrases. Paragraphing is utilized adequately, but logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors and unclear phrasing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'hectic lifestyle', 'rigorous actions', and 'employment opportunities', demonstrating an adequate range for the task. However, there are frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and collocation throughout the response. Examples include 'recycing' instead of recycling, 'govwrnmwnt' instead of government, 'rigerous actions', 'peeople unaware', 'usage plastic bags', and 'maleria'. While these vocabulary and spelling errors are noticeable and detract from the quality of the writing, they do not entirely impede overall communication, aligning with the Band 5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some attempt at subordinate clauses (e.g., 'Although this happens due to various reasons, i believe that...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions. Examples include 'most of the people do not like recycing in these time', 'most of the peeople unaware about recycle', and 'regimes shold establish the recycle industries which helps them'. Punctuation and capitalization are also inconsistent, particularly with the lowercase 'i'. Because these frequent errors can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the writing falls into the Band 5 category.
