Student answer (Band 6.0)
In ther contemporary era, several countries are creating news ways and rules to make their waste collective system effective and efficient. Although some countries successfully achieved this mission yet some nations are strugling to create a better system. This essay explores about the reasons for people not able to recycle as much as they could.
The major reason for this issue could be not having organised system. There are many places where country does not have an organised way of collecting garbage . For instance, in India, household waste is collected by workers appointed for it. But there is not any category made for the garbage. Like, in Canada, everyone has to put their rubbish into categories and specialised bin and colors has been assigned for that. In India, there's no particular system regarding this and all things are collected together. Therefore, majority of the population facing issue regarding this.
In order to solve this issue, my recommendation is to make strict laws as well as rules. There should be some fines or punishments if anybody is not doing recycling. For example, in USA, a fine of 100 dollars is charged if any person does not put the recycle things in the recycling bin. So, in this way everyone follows the regulations and if anyone breaks it they will have face consequences for that. Moreover, small rewards should be given in exchange recycling things. To illustrate, in Germany, people get some cents inj exchange of empty bottles and cans. Therefore, it creates motivation to do recycling.
In the conclusion, populace of the countries arenot able to do recycling due to unorganised system and it can be simply improved by making rules and regulations as well rewarding them with something.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why people do not recycle as much as they could, and what can be done to change this. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. The reasons are supported with relevant examples, such as comparing India and Canada regarding waste segregation systems, and solutions are illustrated with examples from the USA and Germany. However, some ideas could be further extended for full development at the higher bands, particularly the analysis of the root causes beyond just systemic organization. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are well-covered with relevant ideas and sufficient support, satisfying the criteria for a Band 6.5 or solid 6.0, landing comfortably at a Band 6.0 for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraphing structure containing an introduction, body paragraphs addressing the prompt's two questions, and a conclusion. Logical sequencing is present, moving from causes to solutions. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty, as seen with transitional phrases like 'In ther contemporary era', 'Although some countries successfully achieved this mission yet some nations are strugling', and 'In the conclusion'. Referencing and logical connectors occasionally lack smoothness. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but overall cohesive devices show some inaccuracy and overuse, which places this performance securely at a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'effective and efficient', 'contemporary era', and 'regulations'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'ther' instead of 'the', 'strugling', 'collecting garbage', and 'inj exchange'. Furthermore, phrasing such as 'put the recycle things' lacks lexical precision and natural collocation. These errors do not impede communication, allowing the reader to follow the argument easily, but they prevent the score from reaching Band 7.0. The appropriate vocabulary size and attempts at less common words align well with Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional and relative structures such as 'if any person does not put...'. There are, however, several grammatical errors and awkward structures, such as 'several countries are creating news ways', 'people not able to recycle', 'There is not any category made', and 'they will have face consequences'. Punctuation is generally functional, and despite the recurring errors, they rarely impede communication. The control over grammar represents a mix of accurate simple sentences and faulty complex attempts, fully reflecting the Band 6.0 descriptor profile.
