Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, exploring the reasons why people do not recycle as much as they could, such as a lack of awareness and busy daily schedules, and suggests solutions like better-labeled public bins and financial incentives. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and the supporting example regarding the WHO survey is rather vague and unconvincing. Furthermore, there are minor generalizations. The task is adequately covered, and all requirements are met, fitting the descriptors for Band 6.0 well.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay has a clear overall arrangement with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to structure the ideas. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'To commence with', 'Further supporting factor', and 'In conclusion'. However, some referencing is slightly mechanical and awkward, such as 'which i will disciss in the forthcoming paragraphs' and 'in face of money'. Paragraph progression is generally logical, but the mechanical nature of some transitions and occasional awkward phrasing keep this criterion at a Band 6.0 level.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'phenomenon', 'cut throat competition', and 'financial incentives'. However, there are frequent word choice and collocation errors, such as 'nation's native do not prefer', 'have lack of awareness', 'mortals' instead of people, 'autorities', 'seprate', 'mettals', and 'awarness'. These spelling and lexical errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality, though they do not severely impede communication, placing the response firmly at Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure with clauses like 'although lack of awarness and tight schedule of people hindrance them to recycling yet regime can award them'. However, there are numerous grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people have lack', 'schedule of people hindrance'), incorrect verb forms ('can be mitigate'), missing articles, and punctuation errors. These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader, matching the Band 5.0 descriptors.
