Student answer (Band 4.5)
In many countries, individuals do not reuse their trash the way they suppoes. This has brought up maany questions on what could be done to change the situation.. It could be due to some reasons.
Firstly, In my own perspective, it has come to notice that due to recycling, there are a lot of fake products in the markets which have caused much harm to to citizens who are consuming the fake products. For Instance, i went to buy gloceries in a mall, It was quite unfortunate that I bought fake products such as cream, soap, peak milk and milo as a resultnof recycling items. I returned those items for change, but the management of Maris supermarket could not change them for me, because most of the products were fake. They were not aware of the items if not that i detected it. So, going back there to change the items drew their attention to check other products the are selling in the store. So, that has made the goevernent to prohibit the reuse of rubbish, because there are much piracy on these products.
Secondly, people who recycling these rubbish do not follow the due process of recycling. They do not wash the used containers properly before using them for another products. For example, breweries and coaca kola companies do not claen some of the uesd bottles well before using it to reproduc

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response addresses the prompt partially, attempting to explain why people do not recycle and suggesting a reason related to counterfeit products and hygiene. However, the main argument confuses recycling with the manufacturing of fake goods, which misinterprets the core concept of recycling rubbish. Furthermore, the length requirement of at least 250 words is not met, as the response contains only 232 words and remains incomplete at the end. Ideas are limited and under-developed, and the overall position lacks clarity due to the misunderstanding of the topic. To improve, you must ensure you clearly distinguish between recycling waste and producing goods, fully develop your supporting examples, and meet the minimum word count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organisation in the text, with attempts to structure the essay using transitional markers such as 'Firstly' and 'Secondly'. However, there is no clear overall progression, and the logical flow is disrupted by tangential arguments regarding fake supermarket products. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and sometimes inaccurately, and paragraphing is incomplete as the text trails off abruptly at the end. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous pronoun use in 'because of recycling items.' To achieve a higher band, you need to ensure a logical progression of ideas throughout the entire essay, use cohesive devices more naturally, and complete your paragraphs with a clear conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate for basic communication. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'prohibit', but this is accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling, such as 'suppoes', 'maany', 'gloceries', 'resultnof', 'goevernent', 'claen', and 'uesd'. These lexical errors and spelling mistakes cause some difficulty for the reader and impede the clarity of the message. To improve, you should focus on expanding your range of vocabulary related to environmental issues, practice correct word forms, and carefully check your spelling before finishing your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response shows a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex forms that turn out faulty. There are numerous grammatical and mechanical errors throughout the text, including punctuation errors like double periods ('situation..'), capitalization issues in the middle of sentences ('For Instance'), and errors in article usage and subject-verb agreement, such as 'people who recycling' and 'the are selling'. These frequent errors place a heavy burden on the reader and can cause difficulty in comprehension. To reach a higher band, you must work on reducing basic grammatical errors, improve control over verb tenses, and ensure accurate punctuation and sentence construction.
