Student answer (Band 6.0)
Despite the increase in technolgical development related to recycling , people in many countries are still unable to recycle the rubbish completely. There are two main reasons for it, Firstly People are unaware of how to recycle the rubbish and the benefits of recycling and the second reason is the cost associated with the recycling. In order to increase the recycling of rubbish both issue need to be resolved.
Firstly, The government should provide people with the required skills needed to recycle rubbish effectively. Public awareness should be raised regarding the impact that waste has on the environment and health of the society. For instance, The Chinese government has made it compulsory that Every manufacturing company should employ properly trained staff to recycle the rubbish and their are checks in place to make sure that staff is provided with proper training. Other European countries are also running awareness campaigns to tell people the impact of waste on their health and on the climate of the world.
Secondly, the government should provide subsidies to the machinery equipment associated with recycling of rubbihs and Schemes should also be introduced like provide grants to companies on importing recycling machines and tax concessions. For examples, Canada provides tax concessions to the companies on importing recycling machines as a result companies are ecouraged to import rubbish recycling machines and Which, in turn, increases the recycling of rubbish.
In conclusion, I need to mentioned that both Governments should raise public awareness to people and provide them with proper skill set to the workforce and also provide subsidies to the companies in order to increase the rubbish recycling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions by identifying limited awareness and the cost of recycling as causes, then proposing public education, staff training, subsidies and tax concessions. The response also maintains a clear overall position that both issues need to be tackled. The examples about China and Canada help make the proposals more concrete. However, the explanation of why individuals do not recycle is less fully developed than the solutions: the discussion focuses mainly on awareness and costs, without explaining practical barriers such as inconvenient collection systems or lack of facilities. Some examples are asserted rather than clearly linked to the problem—for instance, the Chinese example concerns manufacturing companies, while the task is about people recycling household rubbish. Develop the causes and connect each example more directly to the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted with “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow, and the ideas generally progress from causes to possible action. The linking is sometimes mechanical, however, and the first body paragraph moves from public awareness to company training without a clear explanation of how these points relate. Some references are also unclear, such as “both issue” and “Which, in turn,” where the reader must infer the intended connection. To strengthen the progression, group each cause with its matching solution and use more precise links between claims and examples rather than relying mainly on ordinal transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “public awareness,” “subsidies,” “tax concessions,” and “recycling machines,” which allows you to discuss both the problem and possible responses. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “the impact that waste has on the environment.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “technolgical,” “rubbihs,” “ecouraged,” and “mentioned.” Some expressions are awkward or imprecise, such as “subsidies to the machinery equipment” and “recycle the rubbish completely.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the main ideas, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for recycling policy, such as “subsidise recycling equipment” and “recycle household waste.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex forms, including a conditional-style result in “as a result companies are encouraged to import…” and clauses beginning “in order to” and “that.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical and punctuation errors recur. For example, “both issue need to be resolved” has a number-agreement error, while “I need to mentioned” uses the wrong verb form. Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent: “Firstly People” and “For examples, Canada…” need correction, and the long opening sentence would benefit from clearer punctuation. Aim to produce more consistently controlled sentences, checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation, especially when joining several ideas.
