Student answer (Band 5.5)

People do not have in habit of recycling things as many as they can do from their garbage, in most of nations. This essay will discuss the reasons behind this tendency such as unawareness among people and lack of time and some solutions which can be helpful to change their behaviour like organise government awareness champaigns

To begin with, the first thing which is responsible to prevent people to recycle their rubbish as muc as they can do, is lack of time. Nowadays people are more career oriented, they spent most of their time at their workplaces as a result they feel lethargic and unable to use their creativity in home tasks, which things do not require lot of time to recycle, people show their interest to modify them such as old clothes they use them for mobbing, however they can make blankets from old clothes as well, it requires lot of time so they prefer to throw instead of giving their time to make them. Instead storing the things which can be recycled, they prefer to throw. The other reason is lack of awareness, Nations where literacy rate is lower, people of these nations do not know which things can be recycled, what are the ways to recycle them. they consider everything as a gargabe which is outdated or damaged.

However, this tendency can be changed with government support as government authorities can organise campaigns where people can be encouraged to recycle from their waste. for example, how they can make flower pots from plastic bottles and how they can do emboidery on old clothes and can make pollow covers and bed sheets. This support can help to reduce garbage weight on earth and this help could be environment friendly.

In conclusion, It can be said that although nationsare struggling with this, but they apply these solutions people can be encourage for recyling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify lack of time and awareness as reasons, then propose government campaigns to show people how to reuse items. The examples of turning bottles into flower pots and clothes into household items make the proposed action relevant. However, the explanation of time is not always clear: the discussion shifts between recycling, modifying clothes, and making blankets without fully explaining why ordinary recycling feels burdensome. The awareness point is also brief, and the conclusion repeats the proposed solution rather than summarising the causes and response clearly. Develop each reason with a direct explanation of how it reduces recycling, and explain how campaigns would change everyday behaviour—for example, by teaching sorting and making collection facilities easier to use.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on a solution, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “The other reason,” and “However” help readers follow the main stages. Within the causes paragraph, though, several ideas run together, and the sequence from lack of time to reusing clothes is difficult to track. Some links are mechanical or unclear, including “Instead storing the things” and “this support can help… and this help could be environment friendly.” The conclusion is also compressed and does not clearly connect the causes to the proposed action. Use clearer topic sentences and divide explanations into shorter, logically linked units; ensure pronouns such as “this” have an unmistakable reference.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycle,” “rubbish,” “awareness,” “campaigns,” and “environment friendly,” and you attempt more specific examples such as “flower pots” and “pillow covers.” However, a limited range and repeated wording make some points less precise. Several choices or forms are inaccurate, such as “in habit,” “career oriented,” “mobbing,” “garbage weight on earth,” and “recyling”; these can distract the reader or obscure the intended meaning. Aim for accurate collocations and spelling, and choose vocabulary that directly describes the process: for instance, distinguish recycling from reusing or repurposing an item. A wider set of precise terms such as “sorting waste,” “collection points,” and “public information campaigns” would make the discussion clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect structures such as “they spent most of their time at their workplaces as a result…” and a conditional idea about government support. However, some sentences are long and contain several clauses without clear punctuation, which makes relationships between ideas hard to follow. There are also errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction, as in “people do not have in habit,” “they spent most of their time,” and “people can be encourage.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Improve control by separating long sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and using commas or full stops to mark clause boundaries. This will help your varied sentence attempts communicate more reliably.
