Student answer (Band 5.5)
Waste management is one of the important activities of people's day to day life. In different parts of the world, individuals can not recycle waste as much as they could. I agree with this statement, and this essay discusses the reasons and solutions for this phenomenon.
In my opinion, people through the waste into the waste managemenet plant because of the unaware about the importance of recycling method. Most of the individuals believe that after the use all the products are become waste and do not need to recycle it.This attitude developed the nature of missappropriate waste managemenet. Moreover, inadequet time is the another reason for this matter, people are busy with their work and other activities, due to this, they are not much bothered about the waste they create.
There are several solutions for this trend, government punishments and high fines are one of the important solutions for this habit. People become more aware and manage their waste properly according to the government notification. In addition, this would cause the waste management plants to run effectively without sorting any recyle products mixed in the general waste.
Furthermore, public awareness programmes conducted by the waste managemnet department or municipality about the proper recycling method are another effective method for prevent this habit. Therefor, people would get the more information and awrness about the significants of the recycling habit and lead to proper waste mangement.
In conclusion, I believe that the mixing up of recycling product into the general waste because of the inadequate knowledge and time of people. Prevent this habit by applying strict laws by the goverment and more arness programme conducted by the authorities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify limited awareness and lack of time as reasons, then suggest fines and public-awareness programmes. Your position is clear, and the ideas are relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you say people are unaware of recycling’s importance, but do not explain what information they lack or how this leads them to mix waste. The point about being busy is also asserted rather than illustrated. Your solutions are more specific, particularly the suggestion that authorities run awareness programmes, but explaining how convenient collection systems or clearer recycling instructions could help would make the response more complete and persuasive. Add a concrete example to support one or two key points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, two paragraphs on solutions, and a conclusion. This logical structure makes the main progression easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “Furthermore” to connect points, and the separation of the two solutions into distinct paragraphs is helpful. To strengthen cohesion further, make the links between ideas more precise and less formulaic. For instance, the sentence beginning “In addition” moves from fines to the operation of waste plants without fully explaining the connection. Some references, such as “this habit” and “this matter,” are also vague. State the specific behaviour or problem instead, and use transitions that show the relationship between each cause and solution.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “waste management,” “recycling,” “public awareness programmes,” and “government notification.” These terms help communicate the subject and show an attempt to use topic-specific language. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spellings are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “through the waste,” “inadequate time,” “missappropriate waste management,” and repeated misspellings such as “managemenet” and “awarness.” Some phrases, including “significants of the recycling habit,” are difficult to interpret naturally. Build a reliable set of common environmental collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer clear, accurate phrasing over attempts at more elaborate expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses linked with “because,” “due to,” and “that,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent, and errors recur across the response. For example, “Most of the individuals believe that after the use all the products are become waste” has problems with clause structure and verb form; “people are busy with their work and other activities, due to this” joins ideas awkwardly; and “Prevent this habit by applying strict laws” is not a complete sentence. Articles and agreement also need attention, as in “the another reason.” Practise forming complete sentences, checking verb forms and agreement, and separating independent clauses with appropriate punctuation.
