Student answer (Band 5.5)

There are many nation where a few people donot follow recyling methods for waste managenment. Although lack of knowlegede and, poor rules and regulations are responsible, by spreding awareness and governement's strict laws can solve the issue.

To begin, mostly people are less aware about how to recyle and impacts of increasing amount of waste on earth. Due to lack of education they donot recyle waste like plastic bottles, bags and more. Moreover, some of the countries do not have enough waste management institutes. In result, citizens show no interest in recycling and through single used items in garbage. For example, India is a nation with second largest population on Earth, in some of the cities they donot have recyling stations where people can sell used bottles, cans, carboards and clothes. In result they dump in landfills area.

However, this issue can be solved by spreading awareness how and why recyling is necessery. Teachers can teach students importants, posters and organizations can spread awarenss around people for proper instutes and ways to do recycling. Additionaly, governments involvments like fine can enourage people to participate strictly in waste and recycling managent. For instance, country like Japan have strangent law for recycling rubbish.

Overall, lack of education and careless attitude of government is responsible for few recycling of waste, however, spreading awarenss and strangent laws can encourage people to reuse waste.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify limited awareness and inadequate recycling facilities as reasons, then suggest education, public campaigns and government fines. The India example helps illustrate the facilities problem, while Japan is used to support the point about regulation. However, several ideas are asserted rather than fully explained—for example, the link between education and people’s recycling habits could be developed, and the proposed fines need more detail about how they would work. The conclusion restates the main points but does not add much. The response is also 21 words below the required minimum, so there is less space to develop and support your ideas. Add a specific explanation or example for each main proposal.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin,” “Moreover,” and “However” help readers follow the shift from causes to remedies, and the examples are placed alongside the relevant points. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. At times, though, connections are mechanical or unclear: “In result” is repeated, and the relationship between the lack of facilities and citizens’ lack of interest needs to be made more explicit. Use a wider range of accurate linking expressions and clearer references, and develop each paragraph around a more explicit central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “waste management,” “landfills,” “recycling stations,” “awareness,” and “strict laws,” so the reader can understand the main subject and proposals. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable throughout, sometimes making the message harder to read. Examples include “recyling,” “knowlegede,” “strangent,” and “through single used items,” where the intended meaning is not immediately clear. Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “few recycling of waste” and “proper instutes.” Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise phrasing would make your explanations clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concessive opening (“Although…”) and a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “Due to lack of education.” This gives the response some structural variety, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns as well as longer sentences. For example, “There are many nation” has a number-agreement error, while “Although lack of knowlegede and, poor rules and regulations are responsible, by spreding awareness and governement's strict laws can solve the issue” does not form a clear, balanced sentence. There are also recurring problems with articles, plurals, and subject–verb agreement, as in “country like Japan have.” Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses and check agreement and punctuation.
