Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is very crucial to do recycle those things which can cause the environment and society. In numerous countries, Pupils do not recycle their waste material as much as they could do. It is happening because of less knowledge and authority should make some rules to protect the environment.

To commence with, there are many people who do not know about recycling because they are just following their older generation, they were dumping the recycle things on open field or anywhere without any worries. Moreover, It is continuously going because of less knowledge and lack of awareness. Perhaps, they do not know the impacts of rubbish on society and other species. For example, a survey was conducted by government to get know about the awareness among people regarding the recycling the wastage and the data showed that just 20% people have knowledge about the recycling like which things they should throw and reuse. As a result, they are throwing everything after one use.

Additionally, the law makers should make some rules and advertisements to aware the community. Which things they can reuse, reduce and recycle to those individuals who do not have enough details about things. For instance, some countries are offering these kind of ads to famous personalities because people usually follow them and they must listen about recycling too like which things they can reuse and how they can save environment from wastage . Then, they might do it in their daily life.

In conclusion, by introducing the awareness and more knowledge regarding recycling, can help to do more recycling and change the habit of rubbish. Popular people and government also participate in this to go well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: limited knowledge and awareness are given as reasons, while rules, advertising and public figures are proposed as ways to encourage recycling. The examples, including the survey figure and the use of well-known personalities, help make these points relevant. However, some ideas are not fully explained. For instance, you mention that people follow older generations, but do not show how this habit could be changed; the proposed rules are also not specified. The opening claim that “Pupils” do not recycle narrows the issue to students, although the task concerns people generally. Develop each cause and solution more clearly, and keep the focus consistently on the whole population.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with,” “Moreover,” and “Additionally” help signal the movement between points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “Which things they can reuse…” is a fragment, and the link between the proposed advertisements and the specific actions people should take could be made more explicit. References such as “It is continuously going” do not clearly identify what “it” means. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example directly to the point it supports; this would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycle,” “waste material,” “awareness,” “law makers,” and “environment,” so the reader can understand the subject. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “open field” and “famous personalities.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “do recycle those things which can cause the environment” does not express the intended idea, and “change the habit of rubbish” is unclear. “Pupils” is also too narrow for the general population discussed in the task. Build a more precise set of recycling-related phrases and check that each expression fits its context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses with “because,” “who,” and “which,” and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical patterns are noticeable. “It is very crucial to do recycle” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “Which things they can reuse…” is an incomplete sentence. In “by introducing the awareness and more knowledge regarding recycling, can help,” the subject of “can help” is missing. There are also issues with articles, agreement and punctuation, as in “just 20% people” and the comma splice in “they are just following their older generation, they were dumping…”. Practise complete sentence structures and review verb forms and clause boundaries.
