Student answer (Band 5.5)

With advancement of technology, there are ample of sources to recycle material. However, people have become so lazy to do so. There are numerous reason addressing to this problem and here are few solution to deal with this problem.

To begin with, the most common problem for not remaking product out of rubbish is some time processing rubbish to remake final good cost more money as compare to brand new thing. As when material go to factories to process again to become a final good take lots of money and time.It includes collecting recycleable material, sorting, working on machines with it and labour. However, few of the time it doesnot end up with a good finishing and quaility. For instance, plastic bottels and drinks cans consume lot high amount of money to process back to make to cans and bottels as compare to just making them from raw material as they have very less amount of profit margin.

On the other hand, there are various of ways to deal with it.governent should should needs give some subcide to this recycling company, so they can do itat low cost. It is not easy to recycle material.Hence, government should needs to take some part and encourage civilians or help companises so they can do this at low cost. Furtheremore, people can take part by deposting all the recycleable material at one location so it could be easy for companies to take it. For example, government can launch some programes and training to educate people to throw material for recycling instead of garbage. It could be done by seminars at school and local places.

to conclude, although it is not easy to recycle material and make the final good back again, but peole should take part to do it because its not good for environment to throw in a=gar

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you explain that recycling may be costly and time-consuming, and suggest government subsidies, public collection points, and education programmes. The example about bottles and cans supports the cost argument, while school seminars illustrate one proposed solution. However, the explanation of why people themselves do not recycle is less fully developed: the opening calls people “lazy,” but the essay mainly discusses companies’ processing costs. Some solutions are also stated rather than explained—for example, how subsidies would encourage households to recycle is not made explicit. Develop the causes and connect each proposed action more directly to changing people’s behaviour.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, moving from an introduction to causes, solutions, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish the main sections, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the direction clear. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, although the next paragraph presents solutions, and “However” within the cause paragraph does not clearly connect the point about product quality to the cost argument. The conclusion is cut off, so it does not fully bring the discussion together. Use transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas and ensure the final paragraph completes the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “processing,” “raw material,” “profit margin,” “subsidy,” and “seminars.” These choices show an effort to discuss recycling and policy rather than relying only on basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “remaking product out of rubbish,” “final good,” “recycleable,” “subcide,” and “deposting.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “various of ways” and “take some part.” Build accuracy by learning common topic collocations and checking spelling and word forms; precise, natural phrasing will make your ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “as” and a conditional result in “so they can do it at low cost.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence construction and agreement recur, and several sentences are difficult to parse. For example, “As when material go to factories … take lots of money and time” lacks a clear main clause and has agreement problems; “government should should needs give” also shows faulty verb construction. Articles and plurals are inconsistent, as in “a final good” and “material go.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structure, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
