Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your situation, stating your desired outcome, and requesting advice. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention being busy, providing a bit more detail about the nature of the course or the specific time constraints would have strengthened the response. The letter is clear and the purpose is immediately apparent to the reader, which is a positive aspect of your communication.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your message. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'and also' and 'regarding my studies' to transition between ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by repetitive sentence structures and some mechanical phrasing. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in light of this') to connect your sentences more fluidly. The overall progression of the letter is coherent, but the cohesion could be more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some appropriate formal expressions like 'kind consideration' and 'Yours faithfully'. However, there are instances of slightly unnatural phrasing, such as 'I will be admire your advice' (should be 'I would appreciate your advice'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and relies on basic, repetitive terms. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repeating the same words in close proximity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'i am the only person is here' (should be 'I am the only person here') and 'i will be study' (should be 'I will study'). Additionally, the pronoun 'I' should always be capitalized. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of your writing. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tenses will help improve your score.
