Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that your university internship conflicts with the evening course, say you would like to continue next term, and ask the institution for suggestions. The reason is relevant and the detail that the internship is compulsory helps explain your situation. However, the request about your studies is not fully clear: “continue this course in the next term” could be made more precise by asking whether your enrolment can be deferred or transferred. Your request for advice is also brief and general. To strengthen the letter, state exactly what arrangement you hope for and ask what steps or paperwork are required. The purpose is clear, though some parts are less fully developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The information follows a broadly sensible order: you explain the conflict, describe your preferred plan, and then ask for advice. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and “because” help show relationships between ideas. However, most of the letter is presented as one long sentence or paragraph, so the explanation and requests run together. The opening and closing are separated, but the main content would be easier to follow if divided into two short paragraphs. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, particularly “because it is as my additional course” and “as you know,” which is repeated without a clear purpose. Use paragraph breaks and simpler transitions to make the progression more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “evening course,” “full time university student,” “internship,” “compulsory,” and “next term.” These choices make the main circumstances understandable. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce the naturalness of the letter, such as “feom,” “evenning,” “couese,” “unmderstand,” and “apariciate.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, including “continue it with you” and “got a spot in the evenning time.” Aim for accurate, conventional expressions for formal correspondence, such as “continue my studies,” “undertake an internship,” and “I would appreciate your advice.” Proofreading spelling would also improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to explain a complex situation by linking several clauses, and you use some appropriate forms such as “I want to continue” and “I am very busy.” However, the long opening sentence contains several grammatical problems that make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow: “as took the evening course” lacks a clear subject and verb structure, while “my internship is now final and got a spot” shifts awkwardly between forms. There are also errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation, especially where a full stop is needed before “If you do not mind.” Use shorter sentences and check that each clause has a subject and a correctly formed verb. This will make your meaning more reliable while retaining some complex structures.
