Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you explain that your job prevents you from attending, say you want to study next term and use online resources meanwhile, and ask for advice about online versus in-person learning. These details make the letter relevant and its purpose clear. However, the explanation of the course arrangement is not fully clear: “I was unable to attend an evening course instead” seems to conflict with having enrolled, and “granting permission for next termed but not now” leaves the timing uncertain. Your request for advice is also broad; specify whether you want to defer enrolment, transfer to an online class, or discuss another arrangement. Developing these points more precisely would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a generally sensible order: you introduce your reason for writing, explain the work conflict, describe how you might study meanwhile, and finish by asking for advice. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “Furthermore” and “I look forward to” support the overall flow. However, some links between ideas are unclear or mechanical. For example, “For this term” does not clearly connect your proposed online study to the request to take the course next term, while “Furthermore” introduces your sister’s support without explaining how it relates to the course. The opening sentence also combines several purposes awkwardly. Use clearer transitions and make each paragraph develop one connected point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main situation, including “evening course,” “work load,” “online tutorials,” and “advice.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “obtain more grades” and “better future,” but several choices are unnatural or imprecise and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. For instance, “my job which get off after 6PM” does not clearly express your working hours, and “take class of 5 PM” is not a natural collocation. “Positive feedback” is also less suitable than a direct request for guidance. Aim for accurate, natural phrases for work schedules, course attendance, and deferring enrolment; this will make your message clearer and more appropriately formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including the explanation beginning “I cannot continue the course because…” and the sentence about informing your boss. The main message is usually understandable, but errors in sentence construction and agreement recur. For example, “I hope you're doing well, I am writing” joins two independent clauses with only a comma; “my job which get off” has an incorrect verb form; and “my sister support me” needs subject–verb agreement. The sentence “I want to get advice about the situation that it is better…” also has an unclear clause structure. Practise forming complete sentences, checking verb agreement and tense, and using punctuation to separate clauses. More accurate control of these patterns would improve readability.
