Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You explain the main reason for stopping the course: preparations for your brother’s wedding and family responsibilities make it difficult to focus. You also say that you want to continue studying next term and ask the recipient to transfer your schedule, so the key points are present. However, the request for advice is not clearly developed: asking for a transfer is not the same as asking what options are available, and the letter gives little detail about the course or the timing. The response is also 15 words below the required minimum, which limits the opportunity to explain your situation and request fully. Add a direct question about possible arrangements and expand the relevant details to address the task more completely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The ideas follow a generally sensible order: you explain the wedding-related problem, describe the value of the course, and then request a change to your study schedule. This makes the overall purpose understandable. You also use a few linking expressions, such as “because,” “so,” and “Therefore.” However, the connections sometimes feel mechanical or unclear, and several ideas are crowded into long sentences. For example, the sentence beginning “I would like to request you” combines the transfer request, the reason, and your availability without clear punctuation. Separate the letter into clear paragraphs and use linking words only where they show a precise relationship between ideas. A direct advice question would also make the final part easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main situation, including “computer course,” “wedding event,” “family responsibilities,” and “focus.” There are also attempts to express purpose and benefit, such as explaining that computer skills would be useful in your business and personal life. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “Parparation,” “celebarte,” “transfar,” and “studty sevadhulle.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “take the advantages form it” and “quite free time.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for formal letters. More accurate phrases such as “transfer my enrolment” and “gain practical skills” would make your meaning clearer and more appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example by using “because” to explain why you cannot continue and “so” to describe the result. This shows some effort to go beyond isolated simple statements. However, the range is limited, and errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation often make the writing difficult to read. Examples include “I am not join,” “I do not continue,” and “I would like to request you that youcan transfar.” The opening and closing also need conventional sentence punctuation and capitalization. Practise accurate patterns such as “I cannot attend because…” and “I would like to ask whether…” before combining several ideas in one sentence.
