Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You explain the main reason for stopping—the peak sales period at work—and state that you want to resume the course next term. You also give a relevant reason for valuing the course, linking it to your career. However, the request for advice is not addressed: asking the institute to enrol you next term is a request, but you do not ask what options are available now, such as deferring or transferring your enrolment. The letter also gives limited detail about the situation and does not clearly explain what action you are taking about your current enrolment. Addressing all three bullet points directly and developing the practical request would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The information follows a generally sensible order: you introduce the course, explain your work commitments, describe your plan to continue later, and close with a request. Linking expressions such as “Although” and “Along with this” help connect ideas, and the reader can follow the overall message. To make the progression clearer, separate the explanation, future study plan, and request into distinct paragraphs. Some transitions are awkward or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas—for example, “Although, it is for only limited period” does not connect smoothly to the preceding point. More precise referencing and less reliance on “So” would help the letter feel more naturally organised.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “peak sales period,” “career,” and “expertise,” and your meaning is generally understandable. There is some range, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “in consideration to my evening course,” “manage time for it,” and “borden the area and scope” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling and form errors such as “quiting” and “borden” also affect the impression of control. Aim for standard phrases such as “regarding my evening course,” “manage my time,” and “broaden my expertise,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “Although, it is for only limited period…” and the reason clause beginning “as it helps me…”. However, errors occur across verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. For example, “now it become so difficult” needs a correctly formed present-tense verb, while “for only limited period” needs an article. Several sentences run together without appropriate spacing or punctuation, as in “course. As I have enrolled…” and “busy, its the peak…”. Review tense consistency and article use, and punctuate each complete sentence clearly. These corrections would make your message easier to read while preserving your attempts at varied structures.
