Nowadays more people are addicted for smoking .This habbits can cause devastating effect on health and should take serious actions to stop this issues. I strongly agree to this statement and give reasons and example to following paragraph.
To begin with, smoking can cause serious illness to health, in this modern era people are persuaded to buy tobacoo products through advertisement and social media. Most of the young adults have problems with lung cancer, breating difficulty and asthma which may cause no longer life expectancy . Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 208 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, which remain under-developed and lack sufficient depth. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting arguments are brief and rely on generalizations. For instance, the claim that European governments support smoking habits is unsupported and lacks logical clarity. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed explanations and concrete examples to fully address the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'To begin with', 'Secondly', 'Finally'). There are also issues with referencing and logical flow; for example, the transition between the economic impact of smoking and the suggestion to ban it is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help create a more cohesive and professional flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'tobacoo', 'breating', 'abdoned') and awkward collocations (e.g., 'addicted for smoking', 'take laws'). You rely on basic vocabulary, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, focus on learning correct word forms and collocations related to health and social policy, and proofread carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'This habbits can cause'), incorrect preposition use, and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
