Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of banning tobacco. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the first paragraph establishes a stance, the supporting arguments in the body paragraphs lack depth and clarity. For example, the claim about UNICEF statistics is vague and lacks a logical connection to the argument for a total ban. Furthermore, the suggestion that the government should take responsibility for 'farming' tobacco is underdeveloped and somewhat contradictory to the main argument of making it illegal. To improve, you should focus on providing more logical, well-reasoned arguments that directly support your position rather than making broad, unsupported claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'On the other hand' is used to introduce a point that does not clearly contrast with the previous paragraph. Additionally, there are issues with referencing and sentence-level flow, such as the awkward phrasing 'there is no way it should not be possible to even make illegally produced.' The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, making it difficult to follow the logical development of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'dangerous sickness' and 'deadly diseases' rather than more precise academic terminology. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'business of making any kind of cigarette should be completely ban' (should be 'banned') and 'it should be avoid as possible as people can' (should be 'avoided as much as possible'). To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary and use it with greater accuracy and naturalness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'UNICEF have covered', 'doctor these days have found'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain awkward syntax, such as 'It is widely recognized that any kind of smoke is injurious to health Which is considered to be the main cause of dangerous sickness to humankind.' You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization.
