To begin with, smoking should be illegal in the world because it is create not only plenty of health problems but also its wastage of money. For example, in India when people are going to movie cinema before starting the movies they are showing the advertisement releated to smoke, where its shows millons of people are suffering with lungs and cancer, where they have to spend too much money in hospital for their good treatment, therefore, it should be ban in the whole global.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position that smoking should be made illegal and attempts to support this with reasons such as health issues and financial costs. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the point regarding health problems and wasting money is mentioned in the introduction, body paragraph one, and the conclusion without substantial extension or deep analysis. Examples provided, such as cinema advertisements in India and a personal anecdote at a bus station, are quite basic and anecdotal rather than fully elaborated arguments. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.0, where the task is addressed, but ideas remain somewhat under-developed and prone to repetition.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which gives it an overall structural framework. However, progression is frequently disrupted by run-on sentences and a lack of proper punctuation. For example, the entire introduction is written as a single sentence joined by commas ('...body of the body, many of individuals say...'). Cohesive devices are either overused mechanically ('To begin with', 'Moreover', 'Hence, that's why') or used incorrectly. Furthermore, paragraphing is basic, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun use in the second body paragraph. This demonstrates features of Band 5, where there is some organisation and use of cohesive devices, but clear overall progression and accurate cohesion are lacking.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited and repetitive vocabulary with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Phrases like 'doing smoking vapes and other stuffs', 'wastage of money', and 'kick out' are unnatural and lack appropriate collocation. There are also frequent spelling and word-form errors, such as 'releated' instead of 'related', 'millons' instead of 'millions', 'couging' instead of 'coughing', and 'allergic' instead of 'allergic to' or 'an allergy'. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to communicate the basic argument about the dangers of smoking, the range is restricted and errors are frequent enough to prevent the score from reaching Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences or poorly linked compound sentences connected inappropriately with commas. There are frequent, persistent errors in basic grammar, tense, and article usage, such as 'people are doing smoking', 'it is create', 'in the whole global', 'on the public places', and 'one of the was couging'. Complex sentence attempts are frequently faulty, leading to severe punctuation errors like run-on sentences throughout the entire text. Because errors occur consistently and affect basic structures, the grammar aligns best with the Band 4.0 and 5.0 descriptors, specifically sitting at a Band 5.0 due to the attempt at expressing complex ideas despite persistent inaccuracies.
