There should be certain restrictions implented on smoking to protect the lives of not only habituals but also of affectees. In the medical history, smoking is always considered as a life-threatening habit and it is becoming increasingly popular nowadays.
Various researches have approved the lethal effects of smoking, involving both people either with direct or indirect exposure. However, the communists assume it as a habit of emotional satisfaction for their own pleasure. I strongly agree with the perspective of the researchers and would recommend strong restrictions over its wide use.
Cancer is a one of the disaterous effects of smoke, involving different organs like mouth, larynx and lung. The death rate has approached to 89% worldwise among ciggrette smokers. In addition, it is increasing upto 5% yearly in ypungsters. This is not the simple effect on the involved person but it destroys the families.
Although, 'Smoke Free Zones' are assigned at various public areas to raise the awareness. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt regarding whether smoking should be made illegal and clearly states a position in the introduction ('I strongly agree with the perspective of the researchers'). Main ideas are presented, such as health consequences like cancer and the impact on families. However, the development is somewhat limited, and the text suffers from a major negative constraint: it falls short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 225 words. Additionally, the abrupt and incomplete ending ('Do naot give a good message to kids regarding their health anf gro') prevents full development of the final point. Because the word count requirement is not met, the task achievement score is capped at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, though the conclusion is cut off. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'However', 'In addition', and 'Although', but some are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as starting a sentence with 'Although' without a proper independent clause contrast ('Although, 'Smoke Free Zones' are assigned...'). Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is a fragmented sentence. Referencing is mostly clear, but the overall progression is disrupted by mechanical transitions and abrupt shifts in ideas. Therefore, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'lethal effects', 'habitualur', and 'disaterous', but spelling errors are frequent throughout the text (e.g., 'implented', 'affectees', 'communists' instead of communities, 'ciggrette', 'ypungsters', 'compaigns', 'copaingn', 'anf'). Word choice is occasionally unnatural or imprecise, such as referring to the general public as 'the communists'. The range is adequate to convey basic ideas, but noticeable errors in spelling and lexical selection restrict the score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are several grammatical and mechanical errors, such as 'smoking is always considered as' (tense/aspect issue), 'Cancer is a one of the disaterous effects' (article misuse), and missing punctuation or unfinished sentences at the end ('Do naot give a good message to kids regarding their health anf gro'). Frequent errors in complex structures cause occasional strain for the reader, matching the Band 5.0 descriptors.
