The human organs which get easily targeted by the smoking are lungs. As a matter of fact, they are also at risk of developing the cancer in their bodies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you agree that smoking should be prohibited, and you give relevant reasons, including serious illness, risks to passive smokers, and the influence of smoking parents on children. These points address the task, and the discussion of second-hand smoke adds a useful dimension. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that awareness has been sufficient but smokers continue is not supported with an example or explanation of why prohibition would work better. The response also focuses mainly on health effects and gives little consideration to the implications of making smoking illegal. To strengthen the argument, develop the reasoning behind your proposed ban and support key claims with specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on health effects, a paragraph advocating prohibition, and a concluding statement. The progression from harm to a proposed response is generally logical, and linking phrases such as “As a result,” “In addition to it,” and “Furthermore” help connect points. At times, however, the links feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for instance, “it” in “labelled it as prohibited” does not clearly identify smoking or the practice. The second body paragraph also moves quickly from workplace rules to parental influence without explaining the connection. Use clearer topic sentences and make each paragraph develop one central point, with transitions that show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “chronic diseases,” “respiratory tract,” “passive smokers,” and “consequences.” These choices show an effort to use more specific language, and the main message remains understandable. Some less common expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, however: “imposing several chronic diseases to human bodies,” “bearers,” and “obliged this rule” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also spelling and word-form slips, such as “regualted.” Aim for precise collocations and straightforward phrasing rather than elevated expressions that do not fit. For example, say smoking “causes serious illnesses” and that authorities should “enforce a ban.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including relative clauses and cause-and-effect sentences, as in “The passive smokers are those who are breathing in the same air.” This gives the response some variety, and most sentences communicate the intended point. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with verb forms, agreement, and articles. For example, “authorities should considered” should use the base verb after “should,” while “each one become” needs subject–verb agreement. In “The initiative should be to obliged this rule,” the infinitive construction is not formed correctly. Review modal verbs, singular and plural agreement, and infinitive patterns, then proofread for these recurring issues while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
