Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, as it is only 113 words long and ends abruptly mid-sentence ('I have soluti'). While you have addressed the three bullet points—explaining the problem, the impact on your studies, and the desired action—the final point is incomplete. Because the task is unfinished and significantly under the required length, the development of ideas is limited. To improve, ensure you complete all sections of the letter and expand on your points to meet the word count, providing a clear closing statement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into short paragraphs, which is appropriate for a formal letter. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Although' and 'The reason', but the overall flow is disrupted by the abrupt ending. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words to connect your sentences more smoothly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, finished thought before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for a simple letter, but there are several spelling errors, such as 'continuesly' (continuously), 'celebreating' (celebrating), 'defficulty' (difficulty), 'quite' (quiet), and 'enviroment' (environment). These errors are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common words and try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the context of noise complaints and academic pressure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'i am facing some problem from last few nights' (I have been facing a problem for the last few nights) and 'you played music late night' (you play music late at night). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization of 'I'. To improve, focus on verb tense consistency and subject-verb agreement.
