New neighbours have recently moved into the house/flat next door to where you live. You have examinations soon, but your neighbours play music late at night which is affecting your studies and sleep.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear Jesse,

I am writing this letter to address the issue that is hindering my study and sleep schedule.

I have been preparing from my Science Exam from last month, and I have my exams coming up next week. The music that you are playing late night is not helping me with my studies. It is very loud, I could not concentrate at all, which is very inconvenient not only for me, but also to all my housemates.

I think that neighborhood is getting disturbed because you play loud music especially at night, when is quiet outside. It is adversly affecting my sleep, I could not fall asleep quick. It not only ruins the night but also ruins next day as I do not get good sleep.

I suggest you to keep the volume down or play it in the afternoon, when everyone is at work. Also, I would suggest you to keep the windows and doors close while you play the music, so people outside would not feel it very noisy.
