Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: explaining the problem, describing the impact on your studies, and suggesting a solution. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of the action you want them to take is slightly confusing, as you mention visiting them yourself rather than clearly requesting that they stop playing music. To improve, ensure that your tone is consistently appropriate for a formal letter to a neighbour and that your proposed solutions are clearly articulated and directly linked to the problem described.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into a logical structure with a clear opening and closing. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'In this way' and 'Moreover'. Paragraphing is present but could be more effectively used to separate the problem from the proposed solution. Some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, which affects the overall flow of the text. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used in the correct context would help to improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite basic and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. For example, you wrote 'music lose my interest in my studies' instead of 'music distracts me from my studies', and 'corse' is misspelled. There is also a lack of variety in your word choice, with frequent repetition of simple terms like 'problem', 'study', and 'good marks'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the context of noise complaints and academic pressure.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('There are lot of problem'), article usage ('the neighbour house'), and sentence structure ('it is an impossible doing study'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent and occasionally distract the reader. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures; to improve, you should practice using a wider range of complex sentences, such as using relative clauses or conditional structures, while paying closer attention to basic grammar rules like pluralization and verb forms.
