New neighbours have recently moved into the house/flat next door to where you live. You have examinations soon, but your neighbours play music late at night which is affecting your studies and sleep.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear Neighbor,

I hope you are doing good. I am writing in response to the problem that I had to go through yesterday night, and it is of your loud music.

I know you recently moved to your new house which is next to me. I am very happy for that however, yesterday you played music late night which was very loud and irritating.

It was causing me difficulties not only for my studies but also disturbed my sleep for which I wake up late today and unfortunately I missed my crucial assignment. As a result, I got zero marks in my todays assignment. Now tomorrow, I have my final exam but i am not well prepared only because of your loud music yesterday night. It disturbed my all planning of study and sleep timing.

I want you to take necessary precaution whenever you want to play music next time. You could install sound proof walls and windows and you can decrease the volume of the music at a level you can enjoy so that neighbor can concentrate in their work and have peaceful sleep.

I hope next time you will take necessary precautions.
