I am writing this letter to inform you regarding the inconvenince occured in my flat number 62 dunley in your building Hollydays. This problem is caused after residing a new neighbours on flat number 63 that is next to me.

The problem that I am facing is the loud music and houting at night time, they are all adults and always do parties on there house. They do care weather its midnight or early morning. Another, one of the most anowing thing is that they always invited their friends, which creats a problem to park the vechils.

I requested them twice regarding the loud music to make it slow, as it impacts on study however, I still facing a same problem. Therefore, I want a prompet disciplinary action from you or either, it my last if faced this problem again.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points: the problem (loud music/shouting), the impact (studies/sleep), and the requested action (disciplinary action). However, the response is slightly under the 150-word minimum, which impacts the score. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. For instance, the mention of parking issues is a secondary point that distracts from the primary focus of the noise complaint. To improve, ensure you fully expand on the impact of the noise on your studies and provide a more formal, polite tone suitable for a letter to a landlord or building manager.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the narrative. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. Phrases like 'Another, one of the most anowing thing' are awkward and do not flow naturally. The transition between the problem and the requested action is abrupt. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in addition to this') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus to improve the overall progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

There is an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'inconvenince', 'occured', 'houting', 'weather', 'anowing', 'vechils', 'prompet') and word choice issues (e.g., 'residing a new neighbours'). These errors occasionally impede the reader's flow. To reach a higher band, you must focus on accurate spelling and more precise collocations. For example, instead of 'make it slow', use 'reduce the volume'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more formal, topic-specific terms will also help convey your message more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'This problem is caused after residing a new neighbours' (incorrect preposition/verb usage) and 'it my last if faced this problem again' (incomplete sentence structure). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors is high. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and a correctly conjugated verb.
