Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

You successfully covered all parts of the bullet points by explaining the problem regarding the loud music, why it causes difficulties due to your upcoming mechanical engineering exams, and what action you want your neighbour to take. However, the Length Check confirms the response contains only 121 words, which falls short of the 150-word minimum requirement. This under-length limitation restricts the development of your ideas, resulting in a Band 5.0 for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

Your letter follows a logical paragraph structure with an appropriate greeting, body paragraphs addressing the problem and request, and a polite sign-off. You used some basic cohesive devices like 'Actually', 'More over', and 'So'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately for a short letter. Although referencing is sometimes a bit mechanical, the overall progression is clear, meeting the criteria for Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You attempted an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including phrases like 'raise a concern' and 'kind cooperation'. However, there are several word choice and spelling errors, such as 'writting' instead of writing, 'beachelor' instead of bachelor, 'prepareation' instead of preparation, and 'quite place' instead of quiet place. These errors are noticeable but do not impede communication, placing your lexical resource at Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

You attempted a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if possible shut the window'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including preposition and article issues ('welcome you in my neighbourhood', 'from beginning of next month'), and verb tense errors ('do not able to sleep'). While these errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the meaning remains mostly clear, corresponding to a Band 5.0.
