Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response covers all parts of the prompt to some extent, explaining the problem with the neighbours playing loud music, the difficulties it causes for upcoming examinations, and the desired action. However, the narrative is heavily confused and deviates into irrelevant details, such as mentioning that the neighbours were young boys who recently got jobs and that they usually play outdoor games together. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the response contains only 147 words, falling slightly short of the 150-word minimum. This results in under-developed ideas regarding the specific action you would like them to take, as the resolution described is convoluted and unclear. These factors limit the score for this criterion to Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The text suffers from a lack of clear overall progression and logical organisation. Sentences like 'An couple of month ago in frount of our flat shifted new neighbours' demonstrate faulty word order and referencing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the sequence of events. Paragraphing is entirely absent, with the entire response written as a single block of text. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, with abrupt transitions such as 'so, I frequently visit to them' and 'we all were happy into this decision'. While the general topic can be discerned, the mechanical and disjointed flow aligns closely with the Band 4.0 descriptors for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Vocabulary usage is limited and basic, with frequent word choice and collocation errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'shifted new neighbours' instead of 'moved in', 'sourding neighbours' instead of 'surrounding neighbours', and 'committi of society'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'frequently' and 'decision', but the persistent spelling and lexical inaccuracies restrict the range significantly. Phrasing such as 'it effect me study a lot' further demonstrates restricted vocabulary control. This performance is characteristic of Band 4.0 lexical resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent, disruptive errors. There are significant tense inconsistencies and structural faults throughout the text, such as 'That were young boys which recently having job', 'i having an exam which i prepare last 5 month', and 'the head of the councile decided to shifted to them'. Punctuation and capitalization are also problematic, with lowercase letters at the start of sentences and misuse of commas. These frequent errors obscure meaning in places and place a heavy burden on the reader, placing the grammar at a Band 4.0 level.
