Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that the music is loud and played late, describe its effects on your sleep and study, and ask your neighbour to change their behaviour. The references to upcoming exams, a poor recent score, and the difficulty of studying at the library make the situation relevant and personal. However, some details are unclear or not fully developed. For example, “main causing is failing in exam and waste my whole year” does not explain precisely how the noise could lead to that outcome, and the request would be clearer if you specified a practical action, such as lowering the volume or stopping the music after a particular time. Develop these points more clearly and keep the tone consistently polite to make the message more effective.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure, with an opening, several paragraphs explaining the effects of the noise, and a closing. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In addition” help signal the sequence of points. Overall, the reader can follow the main message. However, some connections feel mechanical, and ideas are repeated: the need for a quiet study environment and the loudness of the music appear in more than one place without adding much new information. The transition from the library problem to “I will do complain in manegement” is also abrupt. Group the effects together, then make a clear, courteous request in a separate paragraph, using references such as “this noise” or “the music” consistently.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main concern, including “loud music,” “examinations,” “focus,” and “quiet environment.” Phrases such as “carry all the books” also add a relevant practical detail. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message difficult to interpret. For instance, “play music late night is good but not in loud” does not express your intended contrast naturally, while “main causing” and “do complain” are not appropriate expressions. There are also spelling errors, including “peoperly,” “libery,” and “manegement.” Build a small set of accurate phrases for making polite requests and describing noise, and check spelling before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer sentences with reasons and results, as in “when you play in loud i could not t sleep peoperly and in mourning time i can't focus in my study.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some sentence structures and verb forms are faulty, and these errors can make parts of the letter hard to follow. Examples include “I am writing to tell you about i am unhappy,” “I have had exam next week,” and “if you are not understand.” Work on forming clauses after “tell you,” choosing consistent tenses for past and future events, and using correct subject–verb patterns. Also check sentence boundaries and capitalisation, including the opening “Dear john” and the run-on sequence of effects.
