Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the ability to develop ideas. While you state a clear position in the introduction, the essay is incomplete and stops abruptly mid-sentence. Because the response is less than half the required length, it is impossible to fully address the prompt or provide the necessary supporting arguments and examples required for a higher band score. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and provide a structured argument with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt at an introductory paragraph, the second paragraph is cut off, preventing the development of a logical flow or the effective use of cohesive devices. To improve, you should focus on planning your essay into four distinct paragraphs: an introduction, two body paragraphs with clear topic sentences, and a conclusion. Using linking words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' will help guide the reader through your arguments more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is basic and contains several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'nation' instead of 'notion' and 'sorrounding' instead of 'surrounding'. There are also grammatical errors in word forms, such as 'to kept' instead of 'to keep'. The range of vocabulary is quite limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas about wildlife conservation. You should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to the environment and zoos, and practice using these words in full, grammatically correct sentences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of the text. Examples include 'protect them to from become' (incorrect preposition and verb form) and 'One of the reason is to kept' (subject-verb agreement and infinitive error). The sentence structures are simple, and the lack of completion makes it difficult to assess your ability to use complex structures. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of infinitives after 'to'.
