Student answer (Band 5.5)
Animals play essential role in humans life. Providing nutritive products to reducing mental stress animals play influential function in humans being's life cycle. Many folks believe that animals are not hazardous for human life so its better to give them freedom rather controlling in zoo. I completely disagree with the fact that giving freedom to wild creatures by closing zoos.
Firstly, I believe that wild species such as reptiles, amphibians, arthopods and many more are very dangerous and threatening creatures for human being. If they are not controlled in zoo they may attack human being and other smaller species that reciprocate major situation in the globe. For instance, in Japan recently a news caught people attention where a giant tiger escape from zoo and attacks 25 folks which cause serious situation in japan.
Secondly, wild creatures are the main features of natural conservation. In our globe many tropical rainforests, natural conversation areas provide home to millions of wild creatures if they all release together it may affect major cause in the world wide. For example, in 1988 the news spread about release of dinasaur in north america causes threatening impact on the folks. Moreover, people spending spare amount of money to visit zoo and if zoos closed it lays of many jobs and make people unemployed.
To put in a nutshell, I assume that by considering the above drawbacks of closing zoo, government should pay attention of making shelter for animals rather than shutting their homes it will help them staying together.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial and relies on questionable examples, such as the mention of dinosaurs in 1988, which undermines the credibility of the argument. While the main points regarding safety and economic impact are relevant, they are not fully extended or supported with logical reasoning. The response stays on topic, but the lack of factual accuracy in the examples prevents it from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on providing more realistic, well-reasoned arguments rather than invented scenarios.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To put in a nutshell', though these are sometimes used mechanically. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the transition between sentences can be abrupt at times. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'if they all release together it may affect major cause in the world wide'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'reciprocate major situation' and 'spare amount of money'. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'natural conversation areas' instead of 'conservation areas'. While the student attempts to use a range of vocabulary, the errors in collocation and word choice are noticeable and occasionally hinder the clarity of the message. Expanding the range of academic vocabulary and focusing on correct collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with articles ('in humans life', 'in japan'), subject-verb agreement ('tiger escape', 'attacks 25 folks'), and pluralization. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with missing commas in complex sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures prevents the essay from achieving a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
