Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the previous years, it was made trend to visit the zoo. It was an activity for children. Now a days people views have changed. It has two aspects which are effectively both positive and negative.
On the one hand, Animal kept in the zoo is still much needed, because it has many advantage. First of all, we should keep animal in the zoo because zoo is the place where all animal lived in it. Not only they have saved them here but also government made an organization of their take care.
It is crucial for humans as well as animals. However, there are some dangerous animals like lion, tiger and fox. These all are wild animals and they should be kept in zoo. If management don't keep in the zoo, it will be tariffed for other living animals. any how
On the other hand, if someone take action about to closed zoo there is some reason behind for it. Animals are also living organisms they also need care, attention and proper food on time. Therefore, no one take responsibility to take care of them. The management should take action and make some rules that visitors also follow.
For instance, I had experience about vising the zoo, I was in my school I went with my teachers and class fellow. It was great day for me; Also, I learned two new things one we should love with animals too and the other one is they will be saved in their home like a zoo if we kept in open air environment, they will be creating problem for us.
To conclude, both aspects having values we should follow the rules and also taking care of them

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument, but the position is not consistently clear throughout. While you mention that zoos have both positive and negative aspects, the development of these ideas is limited. For example, the argument that zoos are necessary for 'dangerous animals' is underdeveloped and lacks specific reasoning. The conclusion is also quite vague, failing to clearly state your final stance on whether zoos should be closed or maintained. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your personal opinion is explicitly stated and supported with more logical depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'To conclude', the transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt or confusing, such as the phrase 'any how' which does not function effectively as a connector. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear; for instance, it is not always evident what 'it' refers to in your sentences. To achieve a higher score, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'tariffed' (likely meant 'terrifying') and 'made trend', which impede the clarity of your message. You rely on simple descriptors and lack the range of vocabulary required to discuss the topic with precision. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to animal welfare, conservation, and ethical debates, and pay closer attention to collocations and word forms to ensure your meaning is conveyed accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally make the text difficult to follow. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'management don't keep'), article usage (e.g., 'keep animal in the zoo'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors, such as 'if someone take action about to closed zoo'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that prepositions are used correctly. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb tenses will significantly enhance your accuracy.
