Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern world, animals are the therapy for many of us whether its just by looking or by feeling them by touch gilues us a sense of pleasure and increase the dopamine in our body which keep us happy and active. As far as the statement above say we not longer need to have animals kept in zoos and zoos should be closed, I partially agree and disagree to this.
If I talk about having zoos, there are two benefits which include, it give opportunity or chance of earning money to the workers who take of animals in zoos, also the money people pay just to look at the animals goes to charity and many orphanage homes.
Second thing is, its a part of entertainment for the people, they come to zoos spend time with their families and friends which allow them to have fun, relax and also give a purpose in life. It reset their mind and help them to be more productive.
On the other hand, if we close close the zoos, many people would lose their only source of earning and eventully leads to unemployment.
Further more, the zoos have endageres
species which are rescued and been kept, to taken care and also helped to reproduce to increase their species
adding on, there are animals which are dangerous for human beings but important for ecosystem. Hence, rather than killing them, it is beneficial to capture them and let them live
At the end, I would say I am neutral to this statement, keeping zoos not only provide economic support but also essential for safe environment both animal habitats and human society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by presenting a balanced view, though the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. You provide reasons for keeping zoos, such as economic benefits and conservation, but the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, mentioning that zoo money goes to 'orphanage homes' is a vague claim that lacks supporting evidence. While you maintain a neutral position, the explanation of why you are neutral is repetitive and does not fully explore the complexities of the animal welfare debate. To improve, ensure each point is supported by a concrete example or a more detailed explanation of the logic behind your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or awkward, such as 'Second thing is' and 'adding on'. The transition between ideas is occasionally abrupt, and some sentences are fragmented, which disrupts the flow. For example, the sentence 'Further more, the zoos have endageres species which are rescued and been kept, to taken care and also helped to reproduce to increase their species' is poorly connected and grammatically disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks precision and variety. You rely on simple phrasing, such as 'have fun', 'relax', and 'good', which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are also some spelling errors, such as 'gilues' (gives) and 'endageres' (endangered), and word choice issues like 'therapy for many of us' when referring to animals. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more sophisticated collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to conservation and ethics, while ensuring that your spelling is accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('it give opportunity'), incorrect verb forms ('to taken care'), and awkward phrasing ('eventully leads to unemployment'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. While you attempt complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
