Student answer (Band 5.5)
For many long times animal were kept in zoo for entertain people and gaining their knowledge into specific species. Many individual believes that zoos should be permanently closed and there is no need to have anime captured in zoos. I strongly agree to given phrase as it affects animal behaviour towards human and their environmental nature.
firstly, animal like tiger, lion, elephants, etc., were captured by ancient kings or emperors to entertain themselves till now it became same trend. By catching animal from forest would separate them from their families and tighter loved once. it can caused migration effect and rotating cycles for predators affects. For example, many researcher analyses that separation from their family causing disturbance on their nature and behaviour towards human became aggressive. Apart from that, in many zoos animal were teated badly by their trainer and it will affect their health.many times animal like to stay in to their cage rather than coming to open fields. living into cage sometime feels isolating for animals.
Moreover, it is noticeable that animal did not get faster recovery than jungles in zoos. Also, sometimes there was no proper shelter for animals to protect them from cold environment. Many times predators forgets how to kill other animals, from this they also become easy and lethargic.
Although, there Is a specific team who will take care of them, give them nutritional food and monitor their movements. there were many reports shows that separation of mother from their cubs leads loneliness and stressful.
To conclude, there any many cases happened form separation of mother and cubs, not treated nicely and also it caused migration effects. Therefore, zoos should be closed.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of closing zoos. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention animal behavior and the negative effects of captivity, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of 'migration effect' is unclear and not fully connected to the argument. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more logical reasoning and concrete evidence rather than listing general observations. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Apart from that' and 'Also' are used to link sentences, but the flow between ideas is sometimes disjointed. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'from this they also become easy and lethargic,' where the antecedent of 'this' is ambiguous. Paragraphing is present, but the internal logic within paragraphs needs to be more tightly controlled to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'anime' instead of 'animals,' 'teated' instead of 'treated,' and 'loved once' instead of 'loved ones.' These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'gaining their knowledge into specific species.' To improve, focus on learning word families and common collocations related to environmental and ethical topics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that affect readability. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'animal were kept,' 'many researcher analyses'), tense usage (e.g., 'predators forgets'), and article usage. Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complex forms. For example, 'Although, there Is a specific team who will take care of them...' is grammatically incorrect. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high density of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and tense consistency.
