Student answer (Band 6.0)
Animals are most important spices in the world. Although some proponents believe that zoos should be close and animals can stay outside, I totally disagree with the point as I believe that zoos are significantly important for many reasons. This essay will elaborate on my view points in the following paragraphs.
To start with, zoo can be the great place for the animals who are in endangered list. Their protection and growth is not possible in open places as they need special care and continues observation. Like, White tiger and lions. These animals can not stay between community due to high risk of attacks. Moreover, Zoos are highly important for public education. People can not travel across the world to see certain animals that time zoo can be the best place to visit and learn about international animals.
Furthermore, animals can safely stay in zoo in their desire environment and it is the best way to save their breed. Nowadays, many animals are getting lost with the time. If they stay inside the zoo than we can show them to the future generation and teach them about specific animals. To add more, some animals need specific type of food to survive. Society can not provide that all the time. Zoo animals taken care by staff members and they fulfill their requirement easily.
To conclude, Although people wants to take animals out of the zoo, I think they are more safe and well taken care in the zoo. Also, zoos are great place to gain practical knowledge about different animals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on conservation and education. However, the development is somewhat repetitive; for instance, the point about 'saving the breed' and 'future generations' in the third paragraph overlaps significantly with the first paragraph's focus on endangered species. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more specific examples or deeper analysis rather than restating similar points. The conclusion is brief but effectively summarizes your stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices like 'To start with', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel forced. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'People can not travel across the world to see certain animals that time zoo can be the best place', where the connection between clauses is weak. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use basic terms like 'most important spices' (likely meaning 'species') and 'great place'. There are also some word-choice errors, such as 'desire environment' instead of 'desired environment' or 'natural habitat'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to conservation, such as 'biodiversity', 'preservation', or 'captive breeding programs', and ensure you are using collocations correctly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'zoo can be the great place' (missing articles), 'animals can not stay between community' (incorrect preposition/word choice), and 'If they stay inside the zoo than we can show them' (confusing 'than' with 'then'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent. Focusing on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and correct conjunctions will help improve your accuracy.
