Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, zoos or jurasic parks has became best place to visit by tourists becouse of the demonstartions it provides. However, people believe that freedom should be given to zoo animals and zoos should be ristricted by the govenment bodies. I agree with the given statement and this essay will discuss in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, each and every species has their own right and space to live freely on the earth. Conversely this approach is affected by zoos agreements and maintainence. For instance, animals from the forests are always acquired by private companies to keep them as prisoned in zoos for the entertainment of public. Moreover, the secondary reason to continue this approach is business purpose as zoos and parks always have a entry gate fee and tariff charges for the exhibition of animals in cages. As a result, to be a good human being in this advanced and the modern world mostly college graduates and people with kindness and helping nature are totally against for such activities.
Furthermore, flora and fauna are play crucial role to mantain the balance in our ecosystem. The habits and activities doing by animals can not be ignored as in forest, they prey of each other to fulfill their eating habits which lead to keep proper balance in the environment. For example,if lions will be in the wild collection of zoos, so how the lion can not pray any deer, so the population of deers will be over rate which leads to imbalance our ecosystem.
In conclusion, although zoos might be beneficial for the entertainment of society and for the purpose of financial freedom of any country, however, this approch shoulg be banned and animals should treet respectfully and government should fucons on

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position agreeing with the closure of zoos. The writer attempts to support this position with reasons such as animal rights, commercial exploitation, and ecological balance. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally unclear, particularly in the third body paragraph where the phrasing is confusing and the example is muddled. Furthermore, the conclusion is cut off abruptly at the end, leaving the final point unfinished. These factors indicate that while the core task is addressed, the development and completeness of the response align best with a Band 5.5 or Band 6.0 descriptor. Given the clear stance and relevant, if basic, supporting arguments, a score of 6.0 is appropriate.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall awareness of paragraph structure. However, logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For instance, transitional phrases like 'To commence with' and 'Furthermore' are used, but the links between sentences often feel disjointed or overly simplistic. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the essay ends mid-sentence in the conclusion, which negatively impacts overall coherence. While the basic structure of a discursive essay is present, the faulty cohesion and lack of a complete conclusion place this performance firmly in the Band 5.0 range.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey basic ideas about animal rights and ecosystems (e.g., 'contemporary era', 'ecosystem', 'demonstrations'). However, there is a very high frequency of spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'jurasic parks', 'became' instead of 'become', 'becouse', 'ristricted', 'govenment bodies', 'prisoned', and 'treet respectfully'. These errors often stem from basic lexical inaccuracies and misspellings that occasionally strain the reader, though they do not completely impede overall communication. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, but the persistent mechanical errors keep the lexical score at a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures (e.g., 'if lions will be in the wild collection of zoos...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text. There are frequent errors in verb tense, voice, and agreement, such as 'zoos or jurasic parks has became', 'animals are always acquired... to keep them as prisoned', and 'approch shoulg be banned'. Additionally, punctuation and sentence boundaries are flawed, and the abrupt ending shows a lack of grammatical control over the conclusion. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, this performance matches the Band 5.0 descriptors.
