Student answer (Band 5.5)
Animals are vital part of our enviornment circle, its also important as plant and human as well. some people believe that no more need to keep animals in zoo, therfor zoos should be closed. I am tottally disgree with their views. I will share my personal view in upcoming paraghrps with help of revlent exapmle that will help to support my view.
Apparently, there is a major reason that i should say animals keep in zoo because some animals like tiger, snake, and othes that cannot live in society with humans, beacuse they are nautre is not fridenly with human. For example, threr is one incident happend recenlty in our town one of family try to keep snake in their house but that was dangerous for children as they have poision.
Furthermore, zoo is safe and suitable palce for all the animals as its has all important and help to keep them long life such as, air, soil, and some insects which ate by some other animals .I think that is impossible to get in other places. Moreover, in zoos all the animals live and people can see them in one palce so goverment can make public zoos instead of closing it.
After taking everything into the considertsion, i have come to the point we need to keep zoos instead of close it, if people want to save wild animals and other as well, beacsue if zoos are closed we cannot save those animals and may be is harmful for our human as i already mentioned in above.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position against closing zoos, fulfilling the basic requirement of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes unclear, which keeps the response at this level. While the writer introduces relevant thoughts regarding animal safety and public viewing, the ideas remain underdeveloped and lack sufficient elaboration or convincing examples. For instance, the reference to a family attempting to keep a snake is loosely connected to the core argument about wild animals and zoos. Furthermore, the argument regarding environmental circles and human parallels in the introduction is somewhat vague and difficult to follow. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to present fully extended and supported ideas, ensuring that every main point is thoroughly explained with relevant and coherent examples that directly strengthen the overall position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance established from the beginning, and the writing is divided into recognisable paragraphs including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty and mechanical. The transitions between ideas rely on basic and repetitive cohesive devices, such as 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'After taking everything into the considertsion', which occasionally feel heavy-handed or intrusive. Additionally, referencing is not always clear, particularly in the conclusion and body paragraphs where phrases like 'those animals and may be is harmful for our human as i already mentioned in above' create ambiguity regarding what is being referenced. To achieve a higher band, the writer must ensure a clearer logical progression and employ a wider, more flexible range of cohesive devices naturally without over-relying on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'enviornment circle', 'considertsion', and 'dangeruous', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in spelling, word form, and word choice that cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent lexical slips throughout the text, such as 'tottally disgree', 'paraghrps', 'revlent exapmle', and 'poision'. These inaccuracies reflect a restricted range of lexical control. To improve lexical resource, the writer needs to build a broader and more precise vocabulary, pay closer attention to standard spelling conventions, and ensure that word forms and collocations are used accurately so that communication remains smooth and effortless.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text displays a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic sentences alongside occasional, mostly faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including issues with subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and awkward prepositional usage within grammatical patterns. Examples of these errors include 'Animals are vital part', 'its also important as plant and human', 'animals keep in zoo', and 'they are nautre is not fridenly'. Punctuation and sentence boundary errors are also present, such as run-on constructions and comma splices. To reach a higher band, the writer must demonstrate greater control over simple and complex sentence forms, reduce the frequency of basic grammatical errors, and ensure accurate use of articles, plurals, and verb forms throughout the response.
