Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the moder world animals protection much debate conversation among people. Most individuals think animals must release form the zoos while I agree with statement some extend, I believe zoos should not be prohibited and we can use they as better way.

On the one hand, there are significant amount of animals in the wolrd, that need extra protection and cpnservation. Furthermore, these animals have high treat form their outside word and also these species have been came to their extention. For example, sea turtle, penguine, polarbear are facing so much trouble in this dacade. Secondly, some of endangered animals, we can see in outside world. For a education purpose we have to keep this species in the zoos and studied there behavior. This action will help protect their life in future.

On the other hand, most induviduals believe zoos should be shut down and it can be harmful for animal life. To begin with, this zoos can't give same environment to animals, which normally they live. As well as, most of zoos have small space for animals and this create serious problem with their lifestyle. Bengali tiger normally live in large grases areas, but in zoos they have to live in little cage and this is considerable problem.

In conclusion, there are several problem with zoos, how they treat to the animals, I argue zoos are usefull for save large percentage of animals lifes and they will help to save significant number of endangered species from their threats. This is far better option protect biodiversity on the Earth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you partly agree that zoos can be harmful, but argue they should remain for conservation and education. You address both sides, using endangered species and the Bengal tiger as relevant examples. This meets the task well overall. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others. For instance, you say animals face threats in the wild and that zoos can protect them, but do not explain how zoos support breeding, rehabilitation, or release. The educational point is also brief, and the conclusion repeats the conservation claim rather than resolving how zoos should change to address poor conditions. Develop these points with specific explanations and make your degree of agreement more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph presenting reasons to retain zoos, a contrasting paragraph on animal welfare, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, however. “Secondly, some of endangered animals, we can see in outside world” does not clearly connect to the preceding point, and “As well as” does not smoothly introduce the next reason. References such as “this species” and “this action” are also not always precise. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and ensure pronouns point unmistakably to the intended idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-specific vocabulary, including “conservation,” “endangered species,” “environment,” and “biodiversity,” which helps communicate the subject. There is also some variety in how you describe the debate. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “moder,” “treat,” “extention,” and “usefull” appear to be intended as “modern,” “threat,” “extinction,” and “useful.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “high treat form their outside word” and “save large percentage of animals lifes.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for habitat, captivity, and conservation would make the argument clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, for example, “As well as, most of zoos have small space for animals and this create serious problem with their lifestyle.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and agreement in “there are significant amount” and “this create,” as well as faulty verb forms in “these species have been came.” The opening sentence also lacks clear sentence boundaries and has an incomplete construction around “while I agree.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, then check articles and plurals. More reliable control of these patterns would make your varied sentence attempts easier to follow.
